(April 25, 2006) – General Mills today announced that Donut Dug Out in Pinebrook, N.J., was selected to receive a $2,500 first prize in General Mills’ “Free for All” Sweepstakes. Donut Dug Out also will be entered in a drawing to win the sweepstakes’ $25,000 grand prize. Artie Giragosian, president, and Elena Giragosian, vice president, accepted the award presented by General Mills Bakeries & Foodservice during a special recognition event on April 25.

“General Mills is a strong supporter of retail bakeries and is thrilled to award Donut Dug Out with one of four $2,500 first prizes,” said Tommy Hillman, marketing manager, General Mills Bakeries & Foodservice. “This sweepstakes is about providing operators a prize that will make an impact on their business.”

Operators at retail bakeries who enter the “Free for All” Sweepstakes are eligible to win the grand prize of $25,000 plus a trip to the 2006 American Bakery Expo Trade Show, or one of four $2,500 first prizes.

Operators who redeem the General Mills “Sweet Deal” rebate or “Try it Free” rebate are automatically entered to win. Operators also can fill out the “Free for All” Sweepstakes form or send a 3x5 piece of paper with their name, address and daytime phone number to: Free for All Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 72770, Rockford, MN 55572. The sweepstakes ends May 31, 2006.

First prize drawings are held quarterly, and the $25,000 grand prize drawing will be held on June 8, 2006. Winners will be selected at random. Non-winning entries from each first prize drawing will be eligible for each subsequent drawing, and first prize winners will be eligible to win the grand prize.
