Meredith Nelson has been covering the south half of Texas since September of 2008. Before moving to Texas, she spent a year at General Mills world headquarters as a business analyst for the Bakery Distributor group. Additionally, she spent ten weeks in the summer of 2006 as an intern for the same function.
Meredith enjoys meeting passionate bakers and businesspeople, and finds satisfaction in using her strong analytical background to help grow her customers’ business. Her favorite part of the baking industry is the strong creative point of view each baker brings to his or her work.
FUN FACT: Meredith’s grandfather owned bakeries 50+ years ago in Minneapolis and rural Wisconsin where she grew up. Meredith enjoys playing and watching sports. She is an avid volleyball player, and loves to play and coach in her spare time.
